Ticket office<\/p>\n
The Palazzo Strozzi Foundation, located in the homonymous and famous building of Florentine Renaissance architecture, represents a dynamic center of international level within which extensive programs of cultural and artistic activities are produced and enjoyed.
\nIn 2020, the reorganization of the spaces used for the ticket office was planned, an intervention that brought about a better distribution of visitor flows, adapted the spaces to the regulations in force on the removal of architectural barriers and created a space used as an internal warehouse.
\nThe idea behind the project was to maintain the original walls of the rooms by inserting “boxes” that would allow intervention without altering the existing structure, maintaining the legacy of the past, but at the same time improving its use.
\nEach space thus remains consistent with the foundation’s core values: accessibility, inclusion, experimentation for art and culture.
\nParticular attention was paid to the chromatic aspect: in fact, a neutral color was used for the “boxes” which thus detaches itself from that of the vaults, kept in the original shade, without being invasive.<\/p>\n
Museino<\/p>\n
A further intervention was carried out in the spaces of the \u201cMuseino di Palazzo Strozzi\u201d, located on the ground floor overlooking the internal ticket office. The museum is dedicated to the history of Palazzo Strozzi and houses the Model of the Palace (1489) and the Portrait of Filippo Strozzi in LEGO by Ai Weiwei, while on the right side we find a series of screens with the three-dimensional rendering of the building , its history, the Archive of exhibitions organized by the Palazzo Strozzi Foundation since 2007, as well as a wealth of information on current and future exhibitions.<\/p>\n
Lounge<\/p>\n
On the first floor the spaces for the lounge area have been created: a room bordered by modular wall furniture, which follows an elliptical line on the longitudinal sides and is equipped with a large built-in monitor on the perpendicular one.
\nThe central table, also elliptical in shape, allows easy interaction and conversation between its users and, if necessary, can be modified and reduced, allowing the space to be transformed from a meeting room to a conference room.
