The studio Archea Associati oversaw the complex recovery operation and functional transformation of the building. It highlights how the typological structure of the office complex had been adapted with relative simplicity to the new receptive destination, since the cadence of the bearing walls has well transitioned to the sequence of the hotel rooms. Some of the most important changes include the transformation of the internal courtyard into a new urban square, the structure of the new hall that looks onto it and all of the co-working spaces and services that are so important in making sure that the space is kept alive, and making sure the indoor and outdoor are in constant dialogue through the creation of a glazed ribbon that also projects light outside during the nighttime.

In addition to the parts identified as areas dedicated to restoration and conservation project work, the complex also includes two large towers that look onto the new internal square and outside onto the Via Lorenzo il Magnifico. On the roof of these two buildings (even if they make up one single complex), the restructuring and different invention categories have allowed the replacement of the roof with two living spaces dedicated to leisure that constitute the great attraction of the new TSH: a swimming pool and gym with a view of the cathedral, Piazzale Michelangelo and all the hilly area surrounding the Forte di Belvedere.

Entrance to the building can be made through two existing openings on the Viale Spartaco Lavagnini, which are both very discreet and respectful of the nineteenth-century neo-renaissance structure proposed by Poggi. However, as soon as you enter, a white space leads you slightly uphill to the internal courtyard that is considered to be the true place of events, and centre of the whole complex.
